Committed and Ambitious Volunteers
The Marathon Children and Family Centre Board of Directors is comprised entirely of volunteers. All volunteers are committed to ensuring that the centre continually provides excellent care while children play, learn and grow.
Board meetings are held throughout the year to allow members time to discuss matters involving the well-being and functionality of the centre. All board members take on the responsibility of being present for each of the meetings. Some members even take on the responsibility of acting as a committee head.
Specific duties of the board include aiding and addressing issues and making decisions regarding the inclusive operation of the centre, money handling and distribution, staff employment, potential ambitions and objectives as well as other relevant and important areas relating to the centre.
Each spring the Annual General Meeting takes place.
